Ingredients

  • 1 bunch basil
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ lime
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz gin

Absinthe froth recipe

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz cold water
  • 1 oz absinthe

Preparation

  • Add basil, lemon juice, lime juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker and muddle heavily
  • Add gin and ice
  • Shake vigorously
  • Strain into a rocks glass with ice
  • For absinthe froth add every ingredient to a blender and whisk until foam forms
  • Top with absinthe froth

 

I have to say this is first cocktail with Absinthe that I really liked. It’s like Basil Gin Smash but with slight taste of anise. Cocktail is nice foamy and have light anise taste which blends perfectly with gin and basil. It is big cocktail so it’s perfect for light sipping. Despite gin and absinthe it’s not very strong drink because it has lot water and juices.
