• 2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Maraschino liqueur
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz Creme de Violette

  • Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Shake
  • Strain in a chilled cocktail glass

On my picture one cocktail is with shaken violet (my Violette liquer is obviously little less violet) and other is with Violette added at the end (it sinked at the bottom).
A second run at my Aviation Cocktail, this time I included Violette Liqueur which is part of one of the original recipes. It brings an additional flavor profile, a bit more sweetness, it smells almost like parfume and starts to mask out some of the Maraschino liqueur. It is a delicious fusion of citrus and floral notes, not too sweet and a good balance of alcohol. I can understand why it is so popular. Try it 🙂
